Campaign Events — Michael Westgaard for Renton City Council

Come kick off Mike Westgaard’s campaign for Renton City Council! Let’s elect someone who will fight for working people.

Mike is a proud union shop steward and longtime DSA member – his campaign envisions connecting our chapter to the organized labor movement and the working class struggle in South King County. Mike is a champion for housing and transit for all, ending the war on drugs, and defending Raise the Wage Renton!

Mike is running as a democratic socialist in a grassroots campaign against a Chamber of Commerce backed establishment incumbent – to win he will need OUR HELP! Come table for Mike Westgaard’s campaign for Renton City Council! Let’s elect someone who will fight for working people.

We’ll meet at the Renton Downtown Library, then take off for various locations to talk to Renton voters, and gather signatures to get Mike on the ballot.

First time canvassers are welcome. We will provide a training before the canvass. Please check the weather forecast and dress appropriately!

We’ll meet at the Renton Downtown Library, then head out to talk to neighbors about Mike’s campaign, and gather signatures to get him on the ballot. We will be organizing carpooling options, if you need a carpool please enter the relevant information into the Action Network RSVP form.
